Sussexshipwrecks charters from Gosport Marina for expeditions round and South of the Isle of White. Surprisingly there are wrecks 24 miles out from Gosport that are rarely dived in only 36m depth of water.
Divers can travel from Eastbourne to Gosport and back again on Sussex or meet Sussex in Gosport.
Getting to Gosport Marina
Gosport Marina is situated five miles from Fareham Junction 11 of the M27 and about 85 miles (1 hour 50 minutes) from London via the M3/M27 (passing through Basingstoke, Winchester Eastleigh and Fareham).
From Junction 11 Of the M27
- From Junction 11 of the M27, follow signs to Fareham.
- At the first roundabout turn left into Gosport Road – A32,
(signposted Stubbington, Lee on Solent) under the viaduct. - Proceed over the next roundabout, then branch left signposted A32 Gosport.
- Follow this road past Fort Brockhurst for a further 1.5 miles.
The entrance to Gosport Marina is on the left. Contact the marina.
Pick up point at Gosport Marina
Sussex is normally based at Eastbourne so we do not have a permanent berth to operate from Gosport Marina. Gosport Marina will put Sussex on a berth overnight, but in the morning, the boat will be moved to a position near the Walk Ramp leading down to the pontoons.
Access to the Walk Ramp is controlled by an electronic key so somebody will be at the top of the ramp to greet you. Trolleys are available in the Free Carpark.
